Where our story began~

Where our story began~
I want my children to know that the temple is my favorite place to be. It is there that I am closest to my father in Heaven. I have a great love for the work that goes on in the temple. I know that we have a great work to do while we are here on earth and I am priveledged to be a part of that work. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as my savior and redeemer. He has never let me down, not once.....I'm so blessed to have children that know at a young age who they are and what they stand for. I'm greatful for the Christlike examples in our lives. We are surrounded by people we love and that love us, what a blessing. The temple is where our story, The Taylor Story began....I pray that it is only the begining of a legacy of faith, service, love, obedience and happiness. Much Love~ Mom

Service with a Smile!

This is what the Taylor house looks like on any given Tuesday evening...we eat dinner do homework, practice piano, go to swim practice then off to achievement days..who has time for dishes!! Can you imagine our surprise when I opened the door to a handful of youth ready to go to work! At first I was a bit embarrassed by the hard work they were about to do (is that a toothbrush in the middle of the counter??(gross)...that was quickly replaced with an overwhelming gratitude from a tired mom. Holy cow, I never look this cute when I clean my house!! These two ladies are awesome examples to our ward family...You are both amazing! Not only is PJ awesome at baseball, but great with a dust buster!!! Anyone would die for those beautiful curls and killer smile. Alex got right to work and put things away where they belong! A philosophy we must adopt! For some strange reason all that work must have made CJ develop Bunny ears! Holy cow Colby...This pose should be on the cover of some great magazine! How many years till you get home from your mission? Te He Te He After all was said and done and the house was quiet again the kids said 'WOW MOM THAT WAS REALLY NICE OF THEM TO COME CLEAN OUR KITCHEN!" What happened in our home tonight was more than just a service project. My children felt love, they were so excited! We were on the receiving end of a great work....We are taught by the impressions left on our hearts throughout our lives and this made a difference to them. I am grateful that my kids will learn how to serve because they have felt the love of being served in their lives. We talk about that alot in our home..service changes lives it heals hearts and builds eternal relationships..a heartfelt thanks to all for more than just a clean kitchen!
