Where our story began~

Where our story began~
I want my children to know that the temple is my favorite place to be. It is there that I am closest to my father in Heaven. I have a great love for the work that goes on in the temple. I know that we have a great work to do while we are here on earth and I am priveledged to be a part of that work. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as my savior and redeemer. He has never let me down, not once.....I'm so blessed to have children that know at a young age who they are and what they stand for. I'm greatful for the Christlike examples in our lives. We are surrounded by people we love and that love us, what a blessing. The temple is where our story, The Taylor Story began....I pray that it is only the begining of a legacy of faith, service, love, obedience and happiness. Much Love~ Mom

Things I learned from my Mom~

Today we remember twenty two years without our mom. I post this because I want my kids to know some of her. The important things I want them to know is what she taught me in the eleven years I was with her. She loved my dad!!!! (this song was one of their favorites:)My parents loved each other! They were interested in each other! We did everything together as a family. This picture was taken one week before she died in September 1986. We were taught even when we were little to....."Love each other, you never know when your time is up." and "Work hard and treat each other like everyday is your last!" In order for mom to be able to breath, Mom's Doc. told us to move out of the city to get away from the pollution...Back in the eighty's 195Th Ave. and Indian school was the middle of no where. Dad sold our house and we moved out to "Nothing." The funny thing is I pass it every time I go out to Verrado.... Dad sacrificed all he had to build a house outside the city so his sweetheart could have a better quality of life. We lived in this tiny little trailer. When they would come home from work and on the weekends, building our house became their hobby. Mom was always right there working along side the men. She had a good attitude and never complained about not having a house to live in. Mom worked hard every day of her life...My dad would try to get her to rest when she was not well...this was her response... "Craig..I'm not going to die in this @#!*8 - *&%# bed!" We learned all the naughty words from our mother!" She was determined not to let her crummy body slow her down! I hope I can pass on the joy of life and spunk she had to my children. We only have a short time to live here on earth! Enjoy and make the most out of every minute! This was the house finally standing, Mom never got to see the finished product. That was done by our sweet Na Na Lu who was a gift from heaven for my dad and continues to be till this day! What a life we have lived. Our trials become our strengths if we so choose. So on this day is a celebration of life... a wonderful life! Thanks Mom for the things you taught me, They have brought me so far in this life. If you love alot and work hard the rest will fall into place.

Dawn-
This is such a beautiful tribute to your mother. I know you did learn so much from her, and your children are now blessed to learn it from you. Everyone who meets you learns from you; how to love, how to share, how to give. Thank you for sharing all you have learned with us.

Hi Dawn, Wow, these pictures of your mom and dad building the house bring back so many memories. It's just hard to believe that it's been 22 years. You've all come a long way though, and I'm so proud of you and Tracy for the happy lives you've built for yourselves!

Love,
Aunt Janice
