Where our story began~

Where our story began~
I want my children to know that the temple is my favorite place to be. It is there that I am closest to my father in Heaven. I have a great love for the work that goes on in the temple. I know that we have a great work to do while we are here on earth and I am priveledged to be a part of that work. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as my savior and redeemer. He has never let me down, not once.....I'm so blessed to have children that know at a young age who they are and what they stand for. I'm greatful for the Christlike examples in our lives. We are surrounded by people we love and that love us, what a blessing. The temple is where our story, The Taylor Story began....I pray that it is only the begining of a legacy of faith, service, love, obedience and happiness. Much Love~ Mom

Surprise!

I was in bed this morning when my four excited children,a flaming plate of french toast and a groggy hubby serenaded me! I ate my breakfast on our bed tray set aside just for the birthday occasion. As I made my way down the stairs, stuffed from my morning feast...the kids were excitedly peering around the corner eagerly waiting to see my expression as I enter the kitchen! Fully loaded in a glow of white was my kitchen... streamers in every direction...only it wasn't streamer like. Toilet Paper hung from every light fixture, chair and decoration..."Look mom! They shouted! We even painted the door!" Complete with cards taped to the glass. "Wait till you see the front Yard!" Note to self keep decorations on hand~ Apparently they got up at five this morning.....This was no easy task and must have taken a lot of planning on their part! They hurriedly escorted me out to the front yard....As they opened the front door a celestial glow of white filled my eyes! The whole front yard including the ground was decked out in toilet paper! This was surely a professional job, it had to be! It was too good for ammeters! Neighbors came out nodding in satisfaction at the art work. "Do you like it? Do you like it?" they shout while jumping up and down ecstatic with their work~I nod my head and grin...'"I Love it!" My mind picturing my sweet children out in the neighborhood in the dark of morning...Man are they gonna be good at this when they are teenagers! These were my birthday cards they tapped on the door~ Really life as a Mom doesn't get better than this~ I have decided to create a new kind of wallpaper in my closet...A wall paper that doesn't cost a cent and on any given moment will cause my heart to smile! When I am old I will have the best decorated closet in town not to mention the value of our home will be untouchable! As I was pulling out of the garage this morning to go to school, my nose was runny...that time of year. I passed the key pad on the wall...What did I see? Toilet paper hanging from the house. I quickly rolled the window down, tore off a large piece of toilet paper and blew! Thanks kids that came in handy! I love my life! I am one lucky girl!

What a great surprise for your birthday! Did your kids help clean it up as part of your birthday present? I love the idea of taping the cards and making wallpaper. Happy birthday!
