Where our story began~

Where our story began~
I want my children to know that the temple is my favorite place to be. It is there that I am closest to my father in Heaven. I have a great love for the work that goes on in the temple. I know that we have a great work to do while we are here on earth and I am priveledged to be a part of that work. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as my savior and redeemer. He has never let me down, not once.....I'm so blessed to have children that know at a young age who they are and what they stand for. I'm greatful for the Christlike examples in our lives. We are surrounded by people we love and that love us, what a blessing. The temple is where our story, The Taylor Story began....I pray that it is only the begining of a legacy of faith, service, love, obedience and happiness. Much Love~ Mom

A TrIp To ReMeMbEr!

After we got off the airplane~Woooo Hooo!! Being tossed about to and fro thousands of feet above the earth in the hands of two men I don't even know is a bit un settling for me....its all about feeling out of control folks...just the thought of humans flying is odd...Don't ya think?? We went to the hotel, said adios to the Cliffords and were blessed to be able to spend the day with Mike's sister Jan, Jon and their four boys. They live in Burley Idaho and drove over to Salt Lake to spend the day with us.Jan is Mike's younger sister, she is very fun to be around and has a very good attitude! Growing up Jan was always the one into mischief, we all have so much fun when we get together! This was Jan's brilliant idea, being pulled out of the cows bum....she often cracks herself up! We met at a place called Thanksgiving point(a family park). Jan called Mikes cousins to meet us! I don't think they have all been together since they were kids, it was fun catching up! Mike's sister is in the black and white shirt. Lindsey (Cousin)in the blue...Haily (cousin)in pink. Mike and I sandwiched my nephew Chandler on a bench so we could take our pictures together! Caleb and I had a good time, he loves taking pictures! Jaxon caught a grasshopper and wanted a picture with his new friend! Renan was hard to keep up with it took about a million picts to get this one! This poor soul is called a turken, he looked quite embarrassed at the crowd he had attracted! I guess I would be a bit bashful too, all naked on a farm when all the other animals have some sort of hair, fur, feathers...dignity! Renan my little nephew managed to find this small puddle of water on a huge farm! He just couldn't resist the temptation! This little guy is Lindsey's little boy Ben. He satisfied our baby craving! Mike and I enjoyed feeding and holding him. It's amazing how quickly they grow up! Later that evening we met Pam Mike's other cousin for ice cream, she couldn't make it to Thanksgiving Point. It was fun getting to know her and her amazing children! (UNCLE JON AND RENAN WALKING IN THE GARDEN)
After all the fun was done for the day we met at Jon's Mom's house for a wonderful dinner! Thanks so much for the home cooked meal and company! We were sad to say goodbye so soon, but were grateful for the day we had together. Jon drove us back to the hotel where we awatied our spiritual feast in the morning!
Did you know the reason General Conference is held every six months is because the Lord knows I need my batteries charged! I love General Conference...I always go away wanting to do better and be a better person. I leave with a greater love for myself, my family, my ward, my life, and most important a greater love for my Savior. I leave knowing that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me...there was a time in my life when I did not know that...now I do not doubt it! I came home with a renewed appreciation for my children, they are a gift from a loving Father in Heaven...I need to remember that...they are sacred. I came home reguvinated! My favorite talk was Elder Wirthlin on being happy. What a wonderful blessing that is. In a world filled with turmoil that we can choose to be happy. We were in the session, that probably added to its impact. I love that I can spend my life with my best friend.... My Grandma is losing hers, I bet 63 years ago she never would have thought it would go by so fast! Enjoy every minute, even the hard ones! When my life is done, I want to know I used every God given talent that was intended for my use. Yes I LoVe Conference! Mike and I walked around being silly and taking pictures of each other. Boy do I ever have a crush on him! There was also an exhibit by photographer who is truly blessed in his talents! He did a photo shoot on the life of Christ, many of the pictures are taken here in Arizona in remote parts of the desert. It is definitely a testimony building experience! After conference we were able to go to the cemetary to see many of the Prophets graves. I couldn't help but think of the amazing lives that surrounded us...The legacy that each had left behind. Some of the head stones were simple some were grand. Hopefully each had felt the love of life as President Hickley had. What a full life he lived, what and example of faith, service and love. While we were ther a lady came and placed fresh flowers on the Hinckley's graves. They were beautiful. It's amazing how many emotions the human body can feel, I think we felt every one this weekend! What a sight the Salt Lake Temple is, the spirit is so strong, the sacrifice so great. Until our date next year we put to work what we learn and will be reminded next conference of the things we forget. We always look forward to our double dates with Thom and Kathy, never a dull moment! This is our yearly picture spot,it is very fun to see how we change through the years, can't wait till we're in our ninteys! Lots of love~ We were spiritually fed. We were spiritually fed!
