The Heard Museum of Native Cultures and Art in Phoenix, Arizona contains one of the nation's largest collections of Native American art. The Heard Museum got its start in 1929, when a couple of early The Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona settlers named Dwight and Maie Heard wanted to display their personal collection of Native American art. In 1926, they had received a large number of items from an archaeological dig near the La Cuidad Native American ruins.

Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see??
"I see Audrey and Grandpa looking at me."

This native American statue is in front of the museum with a rain dance song playing to represent the drum he plays in hopes of rain.
Earth song, by Allan Houser (1914 - 1994, Chiricahua Apache) 1978

This is a tool used to get turquoise and different gems (as Audrey put it) out of rocks.
