Where our story began~

Where our story began~
I want my children to know that the temple is my favorite place to be. It is there that I am closest to my father in Heaven. I have a great love for the work that goes on in the temple. I know that we have a great work to do while we are here on earth and I am priveledged to be a part of that work. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as my savior and redeemer. He has never let me down, not once.....I'm so blessed to have children that know at a young age who they are and what they stand for. I'm greatful for the Christlike examples in our lives. We are surrounded by people we love and that love us, what a blessing. The temple is where our story, The Taylor Story began....I pray that it is only the begining of a legacy of faith, service, love, obedience and happiness. Much Love~ Mom

Family Home Evening~

A few weeks ago My fabulously handsome lawn boy was mowing the lawn when, ZING!! Like most of us have experienced a fierce small rock caught our unsuspecting arcadia door by surprise and shattered it~ We let it be for a while since the safety glass seemed to have everything under control~ One night at dinner we decided to dedicate our shattered remains to a life lesson~ This is what Audrey came up with~ The small rock is like sin....ever so small but powerful....it only takes one to do alot of damage....Our vision of what is right becomes distorted~ All the little cracks represent more and more sin and before we know it, our lives are out of control~ Broken and shattered~ But there is hope! Our sins can be broken away...one at a time~ Through a process called repentance~ It is not easy...it takes alot of time~ And effort.... but, through it all we can be made whole again....returning to our Father... Who waits for us to return to His presence~

Wow! You certainly are teaching your kids right when a 10 year old can come up with something so profound! She obviously understands the Atonement! I'm totally gonna steal this teaching idea for future talks/lessons!
