We city folks arrived in Taylor about noon on Friday to two brand new baby calves born earlier in the morning and a farm filled with country life and excitement!

Audrey was the farm photographer, she loved all the new life that spring brings, this new baby is a pigeon housed in the barn with his momma behind him~

This is Rocky the horse~

This is Mike the horse, a friendly fellow, he let us all ride him bareback...he loved trying to get back to the stable so he could much hay....he would follow kathleen around like a puppy....
a farm kid cousin and Brenna out for a ride~

Mike and Mike plus Brenna...Mike swore he mounted the horse by running up behind the horse and hurdling up over him, we never did get the real story!

Kathleen had to basically throw me up onto Mikes back....No saddle is a bit tricky!

Audrey and Mary, the horse whisperers had lots of fun on Mike!

Maddy, believe it or not is the more cautious of the four...At the last minute she decided to give Mike a try and loved it!

I love this picture of Kathleen, it is everything she is...a down on the farm type of gal, though as nails...we love her!

The all time highlight of our trip was the Snow Flake Temple, we had a date night at the best place in town....afterward as tradition would have it we ate Mexican food at a small place in Taylor~

It was crazy windy!!! We even had a couple Marilyn Monroe moments....WHOA

I adore close~up shots, they tell all!! Some friends of ours The Diane's shared the weekend of fun . This is Tina....do you see the flecks of dirt on her teeth from the wind.....not really~

Audrey and their awesome dog Jersey, he only chases rocks, not sticks, only rocks, played together all weekend~

In the trees by the creek hung tire swings....

The kids had a blast, swinging in circles, flying high into the sky...

This is more my speed, still! Allyson is such a little cutie!! She is three, and buddies with all the big people all weekend...a true baby kathleen and lover of country life~

I went in so many circles, I thought I would barf....Screaming and laughing as the world passed before my very eyes!

Kathleen whizzed around like a pro!! Made me sick just watching her!

We got Eric in the swing and spun him like a mad man...it was hysterical to watch him laugh and scream as we pushed him higher and higher!

Rande Ritz, Jakes buddy they had fun with bugs, swings, dirts...a boys dream!

Jake was in hog heaven...litterally

The girls were more interested in the creek and muck~

It wasn't long before a mud fight broke out!

The boys, Brendan, Rande and Jake built forts along the creek~

There was even a little time for napping...we were tempted to get the sharpie marker out, but thought a good nap with so many people around was hard to come by~

We had a weinnie roast by the fire pit~

Our husbands became men and shmelted real swords, using fire and everything...Late that night I hear Mike giggle in the dark of night....I shmelted a sword....over he rolled off to sleep.

The boys loved their new possesions....

Poor, poor Rande...we didn't want it to end this way!!! (Picture take by Eric, rande's dad)

We ended the weekend with a spiritual fill from the friendly Talyor folks....THanks for the adventure!!!

How nice that you were able to visit a town named after our family and ride a horse named after my little brother/your husband/dad!
Oh I miss the Ritz...
Dang, how much fun! I remember when we all went up and hung out on the farm. It's such a fun life up there in Taylor. Please tell Kathleen hi for us!!! I can't believe how big their kids are.
