I was out in the blustery cold (70 degree weather) watching the kindergartners run around like wild banshees, stirring up a mighty cloud of dust above our play ground for all the school to see. My phone rang and on the other end was sweet Maddy.....The conversation went something like this.....
"Mom the doctor called"
It seemed to be silent FOR EVER.....
"He left a message"
My heart was racing, I was half laughing half crying...
"What did he say Maddy?"
"Jake Doesn't have cancer!"
I love my girl, she is so considerate and so grown up.....
"have a nice day mom, love you"
....Click.... I just stood there forgetting where I was or what I was even doing. It's amazing how time seems to stand still...Even in a crowd of people time can stand still... Happy day...All is well...
