We first took a detour and stopped off at the Temple in Minnestoa, it was beautiful of coarse, the kids loved taking pictures of it....Audrey loved taking pictures of it~

The Nauvoo Temple! A moment in time when you think what were we doing when???? We took Maddy to do baptisms in the Nauvoo Temple an awesome experience with my baby girl.

Maddy took these pictures of the Temple so she could remember what she saw...how she felt... what she lost.

A day that will leave an imprint on our hearts. Maddy was doing Baptisms for the dead in the Nauvoo Temple on the day and time that Addie, her friend, our small friend.. was in an accident and killed. We got a phone call shortly after our temple session. A couple of lives were lost that day others graciously spared. Our testimonies have all been strengthened and know that our Savior has a plan for each one of us.

Maddy as well as both Mike and I gained a knowledge and great understanding of the work we did that day and the depth of it's importance! We sealed my Mom to her parents and sister as well as my grandpa to his parents. It was an emotional and difficult trip, Yet the spirit was so strong.

This is the place we find refuge from the storms of life. The safe haven the surrounds us in difficult times a place we go for comfort when we are comfortless.

When we go inside these doors the craziness of worldy things are shut out and a peace enters into my heart. I am greatful for the knowledge that we have and the blessings we have recieved as we have put this Holy House as the center focus of our family. We have seen miricals, we have felt great mourning and loss, heartache beyond comprehension. We have felt renewal and hope, peace and comfort, we have felt the spirit of our Father in Heaven.

We hope to bring each one of our children here when they turn twelve and help them cultivate a love for this Holy and Sacred place!

I am so proud of my girl!! She has turned into a beautiful young woman!! Her example to us is unbelievable. She has come a long way in her testimony and the things she has been through have made her so strong!! We love you Maddy!
