Where our story began~

Where our story began~
I want my children to know that the temple is my favorite place to be. It is there that I am closest to my father in Heaven. I have a great love for the work that goes on in the temple. I know that we have a great work to do while we are here on earth and I am priveledged to be a part of that work. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as my savior and redeemer. He has never let me down, not once.....I'm so blessed to have children that know at a young age who they are and what they stand for. I'm greatful for the Christlike examples in our lives. We are surrounded by people we love and that love us, what a blessing. The temple is where our story, The Taylor Story began....I pray that it is only the begining of a legacy of faith, service, love, obedience and happiness. Much Love~ Mom

Pioneers~

This was a fun adventure for the kids, however, we honestly would have made horrible pioneers! We are so spoiled to have cars with air conditioning, drive thru's and grocery stores~ Our trek was two miles, some of the road was very steep, the kids began to enjoy the thought of a competition...Who can get their handcart home first.... This small handcart was such a blessing to some so long ago, to us it was simply a fun adventure...Thank goodness! The fighting soon began as they realized it wasn't such a walk in the park~ The men bringing up the rear~ up the steep hill~ This was right up Maddy'd alley, she is a tough girl and wanted to be doing all the grunt work~ Maddy and Audrey pulled the cart a majority of the way~ We almost had a casuality by handcart. Super hero Dad shoved the cart over some large roots knocking Maddy to the ground. They were able to stop the cart before rolling over the top of Maddy and Audrey. If you look closley you can see Maddy's shoe sticking up, I don't know what happened to Audrey, mabe she's under the cart? Back on the road again the sister team lead the way unharmed! Paul and the girls heave the cart to the top of the hill~ Some parts of the trail got to be very tricky, we had to use our mad skills to get through some parts~ Jake and Audrey working together, or are they quarreling~ This was the part that was the easiest, Tina and I got in the cart to try to slow the kids down, after all they did have faimly members that had to be pulled. Lyddy takes a break, what a cuttie! Maddy and Audrey find peace with each other!! This was the roadside we traveld on, it was so pretty and grassy! The girls were troopers, we tried to let them do most of the work, so they could gain a small glimpse into the past~ Brendan Daines aka small pioneer boy~ Our pioneer journey~ No broken axle's~ We didn't have to leave any one behind~ We didn't have any trials that were to hard to bare~ We had clothes~ We had food~ We had shoes~ It Didn't snow~ We didn't have to cross any rivers~ There were no diseases~ Or mosquitos~ We didn't sacrifice any of our belongings~ We had a wonderful time~ We gained appreciation of the pioneers~ Those who gave everything, because of the Work that stills presses forward with truth that is undeniable~ We are blessed! Home at last~ With no injuries....
